Getting To This Point
Our church has experienced rapid growth over the past 8 years and the excitement is contagious! Our children and youth ministries, for example, have doubled over the past couple of years. As we continue to grow we have been asking ourselves the question, "Where are we going to put all these kids?" We also continue to ask, "What can we do to have a greater impact on our community?"
During one of my prayer times in the summer of 2007 God revealed to me that it is time for our church to begin the building process. As I shared my vision with the Gateway Leadership Team, they confirmed that the pieces of the puzzle are in place and it is the right time for our church to take the next step. God already has blessed our church through your generosity. The faithful giving of our people and to Launch the Vision has put Gateway in a position of building permanent facilities. We have retired the $450,000 debt on our church land a full year ahead of schedule.
Gateway broke ground on October 18, 2009 and with God's blessing, will complete the first phase of building by fall of 2010. Phase I includes a worship center capable of holding 350 people in a service, Gateway's new offices, and classrooms enough for all of the children from infants to youth. As you might imagine, we're incredibly excited to have a home of our own.
