What is Advent?
Advent - which we're celebrating Dec. 1-24 this year - is the season during which believers around the world remember Christ’s coming and anticipate His return. We're celebrating Advent at Gateway to help us remember what's important during this Christmas season, when the stresses and distractions often become overwhelming. It's also a way for us to join with our brothers and sisters everywhere in celebrating our Savior.

Each Sunday during Advent, we read a passage of Scripture and light a candle. Each of those candles represents the theme of the week.
- Week 1: Hope
- Week 2: Peace
- Week 3: Joy
- Week 4: Love
