Gateway FAMILIES AT HOME

In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:3

We believe that parents hold the primary place of influence in their children’s lives. We want to partner with parents to equip and encourage them as they take the lead in laying their kids' spiritual foundation.
GATEWAY KIDS PARTNERS WITH PARENTS TO:
  • Provide children with Biblical truths and practical applications to help begin their spiritual journey
  • Support families in fun and meaningful ways to enhance each child’s spiritual journey
  • Develop children as worshipers and Christ followers
  • Teach them to share their faith with their peers
  • Help kids learn to serve others using their God-given abilities and talents
  • Support parents as they are discipled, and learn to disciple their children.

Kids Connection

Babies to Toddlers to Walker
Sundays @ 9:30 & 11

Kids start developing their faith at a young age, and these beginning stages are the foundation on which God builds their future faith. That’s why, along with worship, we use age-appropriate curriculum and hands-on activities, and every classroom space is designed to meet your child’s needs, starting with our infant room.

What should you bring?
We recommend parents bring a diaper bag with any necessary items - for example: diapers, wipes, a bottle or sippy cup, a change of clothes - labelled with your child’s name. You should also bring any “comfort items” that might make your child feel more secure while they’re here. Things like a paci, blanket, pillow, or favorite toy are great to include.
Our nursery is available during both worship times on Sunday, and is staffed with loving, caring and nurturing volunteers.

Preschoolers
Sundays @ 9:30 & 11

It’s important that your preschooler know who God is, and that He’s worthy to be praised.  We look at God’s creation, His creativity and how He made each one of us unique. Our Bible lessons are designed to teach preschoolers, in a creative, easy-to-understand way, that Jesus loves them well and completely.  These lessons are reinforced in our worship, small group time, activities, and crafts.

Kindergarten
Sundays @ 9:30 & 11

Kindergarteners are in a constant state of discovery! We give your children spiritual tools that tap into the way they naturally learn. We use hands-on activities and biblical application to teach them who God is, how He sees them, and how much He loves them, and to help them become lifelong followers of Jesus.

Elementary: Grades 1-4
Sundays @ 9:30 & 11

As elementary kids spiritually develop at different rates, we want them to understand that God has a plan for us to be in a relationship with Him.  We teach them who He is and how much He loves. Each hour is designed is designed to keep your kids engaged and looking forward to next week.

During the 9:30 hour, your children begin their morning with worship, followed by small group Bible study, application, activities, and supportive relationships using relevant music and curriculum to meet them right where they are.
During the 11:00 hour, your child begins with huddle activities designed to introduce the day’s topic as they form relationships with each other and caring volunteers. They’ll continue in large group worship and Bible study, as well as practical application.

The Crossing: Grades 5-6
Sundays @ 9:30 & 11

Your preteens need a place just for them, a place where they can fit in, find affirmation, and know they are loved as they continue their spiritual journey. The Crossing gives your 5th-6th graders the opportunity to build the firm faith foundation each child needs to launch into the next stage of their lives.

Preteens in our ministry have the opportunity to
  • see following God as a relationship and not as a religion.
  • ask questions as they continue their spiritual journey.
  • become followers of Christ.
  • learn how to have powerful prayer lives and more God-focused worship.
We want to
  • connect with preteens and their parents to help them grow.
  • celebrate the uniqueness of each preteen.
  • help preteens know that they can impact their world for Christ.
Through active learning experiences, service projects, and effective discipleship, many preteens discover the answers they need as the Holy Spirit reveals truth to them. Our goal is that each one is ready to take their faith into the world!
