Values
Request an interview if you're interested in being part of Gateway's Worship Ministry.
To achieve our mission, our Worship Team embraces five key values that are the foundation of everything we do.
Core
Scripture defines worship and defines the Church as a worshipping people. At the core, we are worshippers. We strive to understand more deeply and conform ourselves to the true definition of worship (Romans 12:1-2). We commit to being the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. (John 4:23)
Character
Before we are musicians, singers, audio engineers, or technicians, we are Christ-followers. We commit to the pursuit of Christ-likeness. (Ephesians 4:22-24)
Community
We need to function as a team, and that means we need healthy relationships, both within this ministry and the wider church. We commit to true fellowship with one another. (Acts 2:44-46)
Craft
God has blessed us with the privilege and responsibility of leading our church in worship. We commit to do our best and to strive to learn and grow in our craft. (Psalm 33:3)
Culture
Earnest, passionate worship should be the norm in our church. We commit to allow God to use us to create a culture of worship at Gateway. (Psalm 89:15, Colossians 3:16-17)
